imageEvery year Decipher has an Employee Appreciation Party and in 2013. My Office Manager Mindy and I found a great venue in downtown Fresno, “The Grand on 10”. It’s an amazing space and Decipher has history with the building, it was where one of our first offices were located. We loved it so much we opted for a repeat location for our 2015 party but dressed both parties with opposing themes. For 2014 we went with the architecture. Incorporating Art Deco furniture and keeping with white and silver to make it sleek and upscale.

We had three different centerpieces and gifts for each employee.
This was my favorite… beautiful fresh flowers!

Instead of a candy bar we did a fun desert bar, with cupcakes and mini cheesecakes. They were so yummy! We also had a hot chocolate/coffee bar. Loved offering something fun for the non-drinkers. I created the sign on a mirror I found at Ross for $19.99.  It was an inexpensive way to personalize the table! For food we used Love and Garlic, Nancy is always a kick to work with and her presentation is always flawless. We also had a photo booth, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love a photo booth! We tried to personalize it with large face cut-outs of our executive staff. For some reason by the end of the party all the faces were no where to be seen!

Photo Booth Props

In 2014 we ran with a themed party, Great Gatsby! It also went with the venue, but this time we played off the gold tones of the space, incorporating glitz and glamor! It was the best turn out with over 200 people attending. We had executive staff and employees fly in to be apart of the grand night! We tried to make the space look completely different, with black table cloths, black and white striped runners, and gold chairs. It made the space look very rich and perfect for a Great Gatsby party!

I got a great idea from Pinterest for our photo backdrop, and luckily I had to members of our staff into wood working and they did an amazing job creating our custom wall backdrop. They had to cut the frame holes and brace the board. They even put in hinges so you can fold it for transporting with braces to make it stand. I went running around to thrift stores to find the gold frames and found the amazing wallpaper online. It was definitely a big team effort but so worth it! Everyone was quite impressed and it looked great in the photo’s.

I wish I got some pictures of our desert area. We opted for a big chocolate fondue fountain with fresh fruit, cookies & rice crispies. It was a little messy, luckily the rental came with an attendant that helped keep things nice and tidy! It was a great night. Mindy and I worked out butts of for both parties! It’s the best reward when you go into work on Monday morning and you hear the buzz around the office about how great everything was!
